Sony DRM Saga continues…

Following on from what was happening in the Sony DRM saga a few days ago, Mark Russinovich has continued with some more follow-ups which make interesting reading;

There’s also a follow-up by e-Week which includes Microsoft’s current response to the whole thing: Microsoft ‘Concerned’ by Sony DRM. Hopefully Windows Defender (Microsoft Antispyware) will eventually offer to remove it, especially with Mark showing just how easy it was to find bugs in Sony’s rootkit and cause it to crash the whole system.

The whole fact that Sony aren’t allowing users to uninstall without jumping through hoops just smacks of Blair syndrome.
